Juggy, originally born out of SouJava, the Java Users Society, a JUG in Brazil, is the mascot for Java Users and Java User Groups around the world. It was donated to the community in 2005 under a Creative Commons License, which allows others to use, distribute, and modify the image, so that other JUG mascots can be based on Juggy.
Juggy Elvis is a concept originally conceived by Matt Stine, leader and founder of the Memphis/Mid-South Java User Group, and brought to life by Irina McGuire, a graphic designer and web developer also from Memphis.
