Memphis Java User Group meeting: Thursday Feb 19th, 6:30 pm at Mosaik Solutions

Hi Everyone,

Weather permitting, this month's Java User Group meeting will be this Thursday, 6:30 PM at Mosaik Solutions on 6423 Shelby View Drive, Suite 101 , Memphis, TN. It is not far from Southwest TN Community College.

Our main talk this month will be about JMX technology. From wikipedia:
Java Management Extensions (JMX) is a Java technology that supplies tools for managing and monitoring applications, system objects, devices (e.g. printers) and service-oriented networks. Those resources are represented by objects called MBeans (for Managed Bean). In the API, classes can be dynamically loaded and instantiated. Managing and monitoring applications can be designed and developed using the Java Dynamic Management Kit.

We'll look at some basics of JMX and using MBeans to monitor applications. We still have room for lightning talks or some general discussion, if you want to do a lightning talk let me know!

If weather and road conditions appear hazardous I will send out a notice on the mailing list and post to twitter.
See you there!
