Java User Group Meeting: Thursday, February 20th, @ 6:30 PM

The next meeting of the Memphis Java User Group will be held Thursday, January 20th @ 6:30 PMPlease RSVP at: http://www.meetup.com/memphis-technology-user-groups/events/163778092/

Our speaker this month is Andrew McCracken, presenting on 3-D graphics and game development with the Unity IDE.
Unity is a game development ecosystem: a powerful rendering engine fully integrated with a complete set of intuitive tools and rapid workflows to create interactive 3-D and 2-D content; easy multi-platform publishing; thousands of quality, ready-made assets in the Asset Store; and a knowledge-sharing community.
I'll also talk about my current project in voxel rendering, and the Memphis Game Developers group.  We meet every other week at Midsouth Makers and participate in many events including the One Game A Month Challenge and Global Game Jam.
Andrew teaches Computer Science courses at the University of Memphis and is a Senior Programmer/Analyst at FedEx. He is an active member of the Memphis tech community and frequently attends the Memphis Java User Group, the Memphis Game Developers group, and others.

If you would like to present a short lightning talk (about 5-15 minutes) we still have availability. Contact us on Twitter, Meetup, or the Mailing List.
